Lois Elizabeth Mott

Lois Elizabeth Mott passed away on July 15, 2014 at age 96.

Lois was born on the Bragg family farm southwest of Villa Grove, Ill. on March 31, 1918. Her parents were Foss Albert Bragg and Bernice Beasley Bragg.

She is survived by her son, Larry Mott and his wife, Nita of Fountain Hills. Also, grandson, Timothy Mott, his wife, Riley and children, Jasper Engl Mott and Koa Lake Mott, all of Sun Valley, Idaho; and grandson Tyler Mott, his wife, Nicole and children, Cooper Edward Mott and Brooks Patric Mott all of Fountain Hills.

Lois graduated from Villa Grove High School in 1936, later attending Illinois Commercial College. She married Lake W. (Budd) Mott Sept. 23, 1939 in Covington, Ind. They were married 70 years.

In the fall of 1974 Lois and her husband moved to Clearwater, Fla. In July 2004 they moved to Fountain Hills to live with their son, Larry and daughter-n-law, Nita.

Lois enjoyed reading, being a homemaker and following the Chicago Cubs. She recently said, “I’ve about given up on them for this year.” Then followed with “what time is the game on?”

A family gathering will be held. Cremation has been accorded. Ashes will be placed at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens, Palm Harbor, Fla.
