Local Pitch, Hit & Run winners announced

Eight Fountain Hills youth between the ages of seven and 14 competed in the Sectional round of Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit & Run competition at Riverview Baseball Complex in Mesa on Saturday, March 6.

The Community Services department announced the local winners for the competition. In the Girls 7 and 8 Division, Lilly Goodwin placed second overall and recorded the top hit score. In the Boys 7 and 8 Division, Drake Goldapper placed third overall. Drake’s brother, David Goldapper, placed second overall in the Boys 9 and 10 Division and tied for the highest pitch score.

Community Services would also like to congratulate Eli Davis, Ezra Davis, Nicholas Walter, Riga Homyak, and Makayla Connor for representing Fountain Hills and competing in the Sectional round.
