My wife, Marianne, and I volunteer in the Home Delivered Meals program. A number of times each month, we pick up the meals at the Fountain View Village and then go to the homes of the people receiving the meals.
These people are so grateful to have these meals delivered to them and to have some contact with someone who shares a little banter with them. It brings a little joy to their day, but it also brings joy to us knowing that we are providing a bit of sunshine to them.
Now to the reason for this letter. This past Friday was Valentine’s Day and my wife and I had one of the delivery routes.

Now to the reason for this letter. This past Friday was Valentine’s Day and my wife and I had one of the delivery routes.
However, since this was a bit of a special day, the Four Peaks Women’s Club delivered small heart- shaped candy in little containers for everyone who was to receive a meal.
Yes, there is happiness when we deliver the meals, but today, when I dropped off the meals and then handed them the little bag of Valentine candies, their faces just lit up and I could tell that this was something extra special for them—they were remembered on Valentine’s Day.
Thanks to the Four Peaks Women’s Club for their major part in this day’s activities.
