Fountain Hills Unified School District (FHUSD) Governing Board member Libby Settle resigned from the School Board effective Tuesday, Feb. 20.
“It has become very clear over the past year that leadership in FHUSD does not desire to be the change the district needs in order to increase enrollment and student academics,” Settle wrote in an email to the Times Independent. “After repeatedly asking fiscal questions and receiving non answers in return, I’ve lost confidence in the district leadership and am forced to submit my resignation to the Fountain Hills Unified School District Governing Board.”
Settle was elected to the FHUSD Board in November 2022 and was the leading votegetter with 6,275 votes. Madicyn Reid was next with 4,700 votes.
