Councilman Henry Leger has announced he will be seeking a third term on the Fountain Hills Town Council. On Monday, May 5, Leger picked up his campaign packet at Town Hall and filed for his campaign committee so he will begin to collect signatures on his nominating petitions.
"There are a number of variables that I considered in coming to this decision, Leger said in an email to The Times. "Bottom line...despite the fact that much has been accomplished collectively since I have had the privilege to serve, there remains much to be done to preserve the quality of life we have come to enjoy."
"I am excited about the possibility of continuing to serve the community of Fountain Hills and helping to move us forward."

Leger was first elected to the council in 2006. He is the fourth candidate for council on the streets with nominating petitions. There are two others who have not yet filed for a campaign committee.
May 28 is the deadline for all candidates to return nominating petitions.
