LED signage

I read with dismay the article in the Dec. 11 Times regarding LED signs. I encourage the Town Council to carefully consider the idea of placing LED signs near the lake in Fountain Hills.

I would also encourage the council to seek and consider the opinion of the public on this issue.

Already a few signs are in use along our streets, to the detriment of our town, in my opinion. Once allowed, and encouraged by the council by their participation, it is only a matter of time before a drive downtown Fountain Hills will look like a drive down Las Vegas strip.

We will be treated to a plethora of signs with moving displays and dancing lights.

I urge our town residents to contact the council members and at least request a hearing on this matter.
