On Monday, May 20, Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an injured, unresponsive man next to a church at Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards.
Deputies located the man with a woman who was performing CPR. Firefighters responded and revived the male and took him to the hospital.
The woman told deputies the man was her boyfriend and she had found him after he called her. She said he had overdosed on heroin.
Deputies found needles and other drug paraphernalia in the woman’s purse that had been tossed over a nearby fence. She told deputies she was a former addict and was clean now, but she didn’t want the drugs found by police.
She was released but faces potential charges for possession and disorderly conduct for tampering with evidence.
*On Tuesday, May 20, Sheriff’s deputies broke up an underage drinking party around 1:30 p.m. A deputy received a Text-A-Tip message about the party and responded to the 17000 block of La Pasada Drive. Five subjects, three male and two female, ages 18 and 19, were cited for underage possession and consumption of alcohol.
Deputies reported that as the subjects were given breathalyzer tests they were cheering and giving high-fives when they learned the results.
*On Monday, May 20, a 16-year-old Fountain Hills youth was treated at a Scottsdale hospital for cuts and bruises after he flipped the vehicle he was driving on Sunridge Drive. The youth told deputies he was traveling south on Sunridge near Mountain parkway and Cholula and lost control when he swerved to avoid striking a coyote in the street. He was treated and released from the hospital.
*On Sunday, May 19, deputies were called to a Scottsdale hospital for a report of a domestic violence assault in Fountain Hills. Deputies found a 16-year-old male juvenile being treated for a broken nose suffered during an argument with his father at a residence in the 16000 block of Sunflower Drive. Deputies reported the father was upset by the incident saying he never intended to injure his son. He was booked for aggravated assault and child abuse.
*On Monday, May 20, deputies received a report of a burglary at a residence in the 19000 block of Reata Lane in Rio Verde. A house sitter reported he discovered three televisions missing valued at approximately $3,000.
*On Tuesday, May 21, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for failure to provide identification and driving with no license. Deputies responded to a report of a civil dispute at a residence in the 14000 block of Saguaro Blvd. A woman was removing items from an apartment her sister was evicted from and was told she had no authority to be there and was told to leave. She left the scene at a high rate of speed but returned a short time later. A deputy was still there and cited her for the violations.
*On Tuesday, May 7, deputies investigated a minor rear-end collision at the intersection of Shea and Palisades boulevards.
*On Tuesday, May 21, deputies received a report from the Fountain Hills Target store that a female suspect who is a known shoplifter in Target stores was seen with an unknown male subject shoplifting two cell phones with a total value of $300.
*On Monday, May 27, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man for providing false information to a police officer and resisting arrest. Deputies responded to a report of a man and woman in a neighborhood near El Pueblo and Fountain Hills boulevards knocking on doors. Two people matching the description were stopped for questioning and the man attempted to flee when deputies told him he was being arrested. He struggled with deputies as they took him to the ground and placed him in handcuffs.
