Law enforcement report June 19

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man who tried to get them to shoot him Tuesday, June 11.
Deputies were responding at 1 a.m. to a report that the man was drunk and disorderly at a residence in the 14000 block of Aguilar Drive.
Deputies were met by the man’s brother who told them he had a knife. Deputies confronted the man with their weapons drawn and he refused to drop the knife saying they would have to kill him.
Two deputies were able to disarm the man and place him under arrest. He faces charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, domestic violence disorderly conduct. Family members declined to file charges for criminal damage.
*On Monday, June 10, a Fountain Hills male juvenile, 14, was arrested for domestic violence assault after he allegedly struck his mother on the arm. Charges have been submitted to the Juvenile County Attorney’s Office for review.
*On Tuesday, June 4, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested and cited for trespassing at the Fountain Hills Target store. The woman was a former employee who was dismissed from her job and told not to return to the store in November 2012.
*On Tuesday, June 4, six unidentified male customers left the Fountain Hills Denny’s store without paying their bill for $40.
*On Sunday, June 2, deputies received a criminal damage report that someone had damaged an LED light fixture in the pool area of a residential complex in the 16000 block of Pepperwood Circle. Damage is estimated at $400.
*On Friday, May 31, a woman reported someone had thrown a rock through the rear window of her vehicle parked in the 18000 block of Four Peaks Boulevard in Rio Verde. The woman parked the vehicle while she was at work and found the damage when she was finished for the day.
*On Saturday, June 1, a Fountain Hills woman was cited for DUI after she collided with a parked vehicle in the 15000 block of Centipede Drive. The vehicle also ran over a couple of cactus before stopping in the front yard of a home. The driver was taken to a Scottsdale hospital for treatment of injuries. She was also cited for underage consumption of alcohol and failure to control her vehicle to avoid an accident.
*On Monday, June 3, deputies were called when a Fountain Hills male juvenile got into a violent argument with his parents and caused damage in their residence. A crisis incident team was called to the scene.
*On Friday, June 7, a manager at Paul’s Ace Hardware called to report that a former employee had borrowed a barbecue grill in November 2012 and had not returned it. When the employee was dismissed it was noted the grill had not been returned. The item was returned to the store Wednesday, June 12, after deputies contacted the former employee.
*On Friday, June 7, deputies responded to a report that a juvenile male, 16, was being disorderly and disruptive arguing with his mother and aunt at their residence on Olympic Way. The juvenile reportedly caused damage to the home when arguing with his mother over money, and that she believes he has a drug problem. Deputies are submitting domestic violence disorderly conduct charges to the Juvenile County Attorney’s Office.
*On Friday, June 7, a resident of the 16000 block of Fayette Drive reported someone attempted to break into their residence through a security garage door.
*On Thursday, June 13, a Fountain Hills woman reported damage to lawn ornaments at her home in the 16000 block of Desert Sage Drive.
