Just after midnight Monday, May 13, deputies were called to a one-vehicle accident on Grande Boulevard near La Casa Drive.

Deputies found that a 17-year-old male was eastbound on Grande when he crossed over the westbound lanes and went through a block wall into the backyard of a residence in the 17000 block of DeAnza Drive.

Just after midnight Monday, May 13, deputies were called to a one-vehicle accident on Grande Boulevard near La Casa Drive.

Deputies found that a 17-year-old male was eastbound on Grande when he crossed over the westbound lanes and went through a block wall into the backyard of a residence in the 17000 block of DeAnza Drive.

There was damage to the residential back patio and glass windows and doors. Pieces of block from the wall went through a bedroom window landing on the bed of a resident who was sleeping there. The resident was not injured.

Deputies are investigating the accident as a possible impaired driver.

*On Thursday, May 9, a Fountain Hills man reported someone used his checking account to order a part and have it delivered to a New Jersey address.

*On Saturday, May 11, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone used her business checking account to send checks to unknown persons. One of those people called to ask why the woman had sent her a check. Neither check was cashed.

*On Sunday, May 12, deputies responded with fire department personnel to a gas station at Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards. A propane leak was discovered while an RV was filling its propane tank. Fire fighters closed off a portion of the area and remained on the scene for an hour or so while the gas bled off from the leak.

*On Monday, May 13, a Fountain Hills man reported someone had fraudulently charged $500 against his bank account. He told deputies he believes his sister is responsible.

*On Monday, May 13, a Fountain Hills man reported someone scratched words into his vehicle. He believes it was done by neighbors. It is estimated to cost $25 to repair the scratch.

*On Monday, May 13, a man reported a leaf blower was stolen from the back of his pick-up while it was parked in the 14000 block of Calle Del Oro. He told deputies he suspects workers from another landscaping company who were working nearby.

*On Tuesday, May 14, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle striking a mailbox in the 15000 block of Tepee Drive and then leaving the scene. Deputies were able to track scratches in the pavement from a wheel rim to another residence in the neighborhood. The man at that home acknowledged the accident saying he swerved to avoid javelina crossing the street. He said he had made two attempts to report it at the residence, but no one answered the door. The driver provided his insurance information for the homeowner.

*On Friday, April 26, deputies received a report that someone had stolen a longboard skateboard from Fountain Hills High School. Several students told deputies they had heard another student talking about the board, and taking it. He also attempted to sell the board. The suspect, a 17-year-old male juvenile, was cited for theft and trafficking in stolen property. Charges have also been submitted for possession of marijuana.

*On Sunday, May 12, deputies cited a Fountain Hills man for excessive speed traveling 97 miles per hour on Shea Boulevard where the speed limit is 50 miles per hour. The man was arrested and booked into jail.

*On Thursday, May 9, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had hacked into her AOL account and changed the password.

*On Friday, May 10, an employee at the Eagle Mountain Golf Club reported two unknown men had stolen two sets of golf clubs and bags. The total value is estimated at $5,000.

*On Wednesday, May 15, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had stolen a diamond ring valued at $12,000. She said she noticed the ring missing after carpet cleaners had left. One employee of the company said he had no knowledge of the theft and had not seen the ring at the residence.

*On Thursday, May 16, a Fountain Hills woman was cited for child neglect after deputies were called by someone who found an infant in a vehicle parked at a gas station. The car was running and the air conditioning was on. The woman had apparently been in the store for several minutes before returning after deputies arrived.

*On Thursday, May 16, a resident of the 16000 block of Nicklaus Drive reported golf clubs stolen from an open garage. Value of the clubs is about $1,000.
