Maricopa County Sheriff’s detectives are searching for a pair of potential thieves after they threatened a Fountain Hills man with a gun outside his home in the 11000 block of Pinto Drive on Sunday, Oct. 20.
It was shortly after 6 a.m. when the victim opened his garage door and went back inside the house briefly. When he returned to the garage he found a man standing inside his garage. When he was challenged the suspect fled toward a pickup truck in the street.
The homeowner followed and as he approached the street the suspect told a woman driving the vehicle to “shoot him.” The driver pointed a small handgun in the direction of the resident and at the same time the victim tossed the contents of a coffee cup toward the vehicle.
