Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies used a Taser to subdue a Fountain Hills man on Friday, Feb. 14.

Deputies responded to a report of neighbor trouble in the 16000 block of Emerald Drive after a man reported being confronted by a neighbor’s boyfriend. The caller said the man used abusive language trying to goad him into a fight.

Deputies approached the suspect to question him and he was uncooperative and resisted when deputies attempted to take him into custody.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies used a Taser to subdue a Fountain Hills man on Friday, Feb. 14.

Deputies responded to a report of neighbor trouble in the 16000 block of Emerald Drive after a man reported being confronted by a neighbor’s boyfriend. The caller said the man used abusive language trying to goad him into a fight.

Deputies approached the suspect to question him and he was uncooperative and resisted when deputies attempted to take him into custody.

Deputies reported when the suspect attempted to grab a box cutter they used a Taser to subdue him.

The man faces charges of resisting arrest, threatening and intimidating and disorderly conduct.

*On Friday, Feb. 7, a Fountain Hills man was arrested on a Superior Court warrant for a probation violation. Deputies found 10 handguns in the man’s residence. He is on probation for domestic violence/disorderly conduct and is not permitted to possess weapons. The case has been referred to the Maricopa County Attorney for possible charges.

*On Tuesday, Feb. 11, a Fountain Hills resident reported a garage door remote was taken from their vehicle parked in the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. The remote is valued at $40.

*On Saturday, Feb. 8, a resident of the 15000 block of Tamarack Drive reported someone took a cell phone valued at $500 from their vehicle. The vehicle was not locked.

*On Thursday, Feb. 13, deputies received a report that someone had shoplifted an iPhone case valued at $62 from the Target store in Fountain Hills.

*On Sunday, Feb. 15, a Fountain Hills woman reported that someone had slashed three tires on her vehicle parked in front of her residence in the 17000 block of Baca Drive.

*On Friday, Feb. 14, deputies were called for a minor two-vehicle rear-end collision at Shea Boulevard and SR 87. There were no injuries.

*On Tuesday, Feb. 11, a Phoenix woman reported she had been sexually assaulted by a man while at a Fountain Hills hotel.

*On Wednesday, Feb. 12, deputies received a call from a hotel manager in Fountain Hills reporting a couple smoking marijuana on the premises. Deputies arrested a Phoenix woman for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

*On Tuesday, Feb. 11, a Fountain Hills man reported someone unknown had accessed his personal information by hacking into his computer.

*On Saturday, Feb. 8, a Fountain Hills man reported he discovered someone had stolen his identity when he received a Pay Pal invoice with an $846 balance.

*On Saturday, Feb. 8, deputies received a shoplifting report from the Fountain Hills Target store with a male and female subject concealing merchandise.

*On Wednesday, Feb. 12, deputies responding to a report of a possible impaired driver discovered a collision near Palisades and Shea boulevards. They found a vehicle in the median and evidence that it had struck a security gate at Summit Hill Boulevard and Miramonte Way. The driver had left the scene. It was investigated as a possible DUI.

*On Wednesday, Feb. 12, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for shoplifting at the Fountain Hills Target store. She is alleged to have removed merchandise valued at $65.

*On Friday, Feb. 7, two juvenile females, ages 13 and 14, were identified by Target store security as possible shoplifting suspects and had reportedly gone to McDonald’s across Shea Boulevard. Deputies picked up the girls at the restaurant with evidence of the shoplifting. They were released to their parents and face shoplifting charges in juvenile court.

*On Tuesday, Feb. 4, a town employee reported someone had entered a storage yard at Golden Eagle Park and removed a tool box with approximately $200 in tools.
