The Sheriff’s Office was contacted after the man told his daughter about the alleged lottery winnings.
After an initial call and receiving a payment, the suspects made several other calls demanding more money before the lottery winnings were to be paid.

The Sheriff’s Office was contacted after the man told his daughter about the alleged lottery winnings.
After an initial call and receiving a payment, the suspects made several other calls demanding more money before the lottery winnings were to be paid.
*On Saturday, Sept. 13, deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard north of Palisades and arrested a Fountain Hills woman for aggravated DUI, possession of prescription drugs and failure to provide identification. A passenger in the vehicle faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and having an open container in a vehicle. Also, the vehicle registration was expired and there was an insurance suspension on the vehicle.
*On Sunday, Sept. 14, a Fort McDowell man was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop at Saguaro and Grande boulevards.
*On Sunday, Sept. 14, a deputies received a report of a hit-and-run on a vehicle parked in the 16000 block of Fayette Drive.
*On Sunday, Sept. 14, deputies responded to a report of a fight between a man and a woman in the 14000 block of Boxwood Drive. The two were apologetic and would not press charges against one another.
*On Thursday, Sept. 11, a man reported someone had stolen a portable drive from his computer at his place of work in the 15000 block of Shea Boulevard.
*On Wednesday, Sept. 10, a Fountain Hills resident reported someone had scratched the paint on his vehicle while it was parked on the street in the 16000 block of Gunsight Drive.
*On Monday, Sept. 15, the homeowners association at the Center Court Villas on Kings Way reported graffiti damage on its property. There was spray painting on various objects around the property with a skull figure being prominent among the graffiti.
*On Monday, Sept. 15, a resident reported criminal damage when someone removed duct tape holding her car window in place. The window slipped back into the door panel costing her $25 to repair.
*On Friday, Sept. 12, a Fountain Hills man told deputies his accountant had failed to provide him with an income tax check for $2,262. The accountant told deputies he was holding the check until he was paid his fee.
*On Thursday, Sept. 18, a resident of the 10000 block of Demaret Drive reported someone threw a rock through their front window, also causing damage to the screen.
*On Friday, Sept. 19, a Fort McDowell woman was arrested for aggravated DUI, since her license had previously been suspended for DUI. She also had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and there was an outstanding warrant for her arrest. A male passenger in the vehicle was also arrested for an outstanding warrant.
*On Friday, Sept. 19, a resident reported someone had stolen medical equipment valued at $265 from her vehicle parked in the 11000 block of Royal Court.
*On Friday, Sept. 19, deputies investigated a two-vehicle collision at Saguaro Boulevard and Panorama Drive. A motorist traveling south on Saguaro attempted to make a left turn onto Panorama Drive and was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Saguaro. The southbound motorist was cited for failure to yield, failure to control her speed to avoid a collision, no proof of financial responsibility, no Arizona driver license and no registration in the vehicle.
*On Saturday, Sept. 20, a Fountain Hills man was arrested after he allegedly threw a chair into a wall causing damage at a residence in the 17000 block of Player Court. The man had gotten into a verbal argument with his wife. He was cited for domestic violence criminal damage and domestic violence disorderly conduct.
*On Saturday, Sept. 20, deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle on Gunsight Drive with five juvenile males. The driver was cited for underage DUI, one passenger was cited for possession of marijuana and all were cited for curfew violation.
*On Saturday, Sept. 20, deputies received a report of a hit-and-run accident on private property in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.
*On Saturday, Sept. 20, a man and woman were arrested following a domestic violence argument. The two had gotten into a verbal argument that escalated to a physical confrontation.
*On Sunday, Sept. 21, a Fountain Hills man reported someone broke into his vehicle parked in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard and stole property valued at $2,600.
*On Friday, Sept. 19, deputies took a report of shoplifting from the Fountain Hills Target store where headphones valued at $100 were stolen.
*A Fountain Hills woman was sentenced to 10 years supervised probation last week after pleading no contest to one count of aggravated assault and two counts of sexual abuse. The charges stemmed from a 2012 incident involving another woman.
