Sheriff’s deputies in Fountain Hills were called to the area of Palisades and Fountain Hills boulevards on Friday, Oct. 10, for a reported assault.

Deputies made contact with a woman who said her boyfriend had struck her and poured vehicle brake fluid on her before he left the scene.

She told deputies they were in the parking lot and he was putting the brake fluid in the car when she told him he had to leave the residence they were sharing. He became angry leading to the alleged assault.

Sheriff’s deputies in Fountain Hills were called to the area of Palisades and Fountain Hills boulevards on Friday, Oct. 10, for a reported assault.

Deputies made contact with a woman who said her boyfriend had struck her and poured vehicle brake fluid on her before he left the scene.

She told deputies they were in the parking lot and he was putting the brake fluid in the car when she told him he had to leave the residence they were sharing. He became angry leading to the alleged assault.

Deputies were not able to immediately locate the man.

*On Friday, Sept. 26, a Fountain Hills man, age 29, was stopped on Fountain Hills Boulevard at Kings Way. He was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. He was cited and given a ride home.

*On Saturday, Sept. 20, a Fountain Hills resident reported that someone had stolen a stereo faceplate, valued at $70, from his vehicle that was parked in a driveway in the 11000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.

*On Monday, Oct. 6, deputies cited a Phoenix man for excessive speed near 174th Street and Rio Verde Drive. He was traveling 77 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50.

*On Monday, Oct. 6, deputies were called to a Fountain Hills doctor’s office where a man was acting in a disorderly manner. The man was calmed down, and the doctor was unwilling to press charges.

*On Monday, Oct. 6, deputies were called to a vehicle accident in the 15000 block of Thistle Drive. A woman was backing from a driveway and struck a vehicle parked across the street. There were no injuries and damage was minor.

*On Monday, Oct. 6, deputies cited a Phoenix woman for criminal speed on McDowell Mountain Road. She was found to be traveling 71 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45.

*On Monday, Oct. 6, a Rio Verde man was arrested and released after citation for DUI after he was involved in a one-vehicle crash at Via Hermosa and Vado Court in Rio Verde. Witnesses reported he was traveling at a high speed when he went off the road and struck a tree.

*On Tuesday, Oct. 7, a deputy responded to a motorcycle, truck collision on Palisades Boulevard at Valley Vista Drive. The motorcyclist was traveling south on Palisades when the pick-up made a left turn in front of him. No one was injured. The truck driver was cited.

*On Thursday, Oct. 9, a Fort McDowell woman was cited for DUI after a traffic stop at La Montana Drive and Saguaro Boulevard. She was cited for DUI, drinking alcohol in the passenger compartment and having an open container in the vehicle.

*On Wednesday, Oct. 8, deputies investigated a two vehicle collision on Grande Boulevard. A vehicle traveling east on Grande collided with another car backing from a driveway.

*On Wednesday, Oct. 8, a Fountain Hills man reported someone had broken into his vehicle while it was parked in the 10000 block of Saguaro Boulevard. The items taken included prescription medications, a backpack and clothing.

*On Tuesday, Oct. 7, a deputy on patrol came upon a single vehicle accident on Palisades Boulevard near Sage Drive. The driver said he lost control trying to avoid a large rock in the roadway and went into the median striking a tree. He was not injured.

*On Thursday, Oct. 9, a deputy was notified that the principal at the Fountain Hills Middle School had received a threatening email demanding a recently terminated teacher be reinstated. The threat was to release names of others involved in the alleged bullying incident for which the teacher was fired.

*On Friday, Oct. 10, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone had stolen and is using the Social Security number of her son.

*On Wednesday, Oct. 8, a deputy was called to a Scottsdale hospital where a woman reported her son had been assaulted on a school bus in Fountain Hills.

*On Friday, Oct. 10, a Fountain Hills resident reported someone had caused $3,000 damage to her property driving across the landscaping and damaging a fence.

*On Saturday, Oct. 11, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for making threats and disturbing the peace. She was causing a disturbance at a convenience market and later a coffee shop.

On Sunday, Oct. 12, deputies on patrol noticed a vehicle stopped on Panorama Drive with one person standing on the side of the street urinating on the sidewalk. They made contact with the occupants and cited the driver for a curfew violation, one passenger was cited for underage consumption of alcohol and the third passenger was cited for the curfew violation and underage consumption.
