Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters in Fountain Hills responded to a two-vehicle collision with injuries at Grande and El Pueblo boulevards on Tuesday, March 31.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, a witness told deputies a vehicle traveling east on Grande did not stop for a stop sign and collided with an SUV in the intersection.

The impact rolled the SUV onto its top.

Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters in Fountain Hills responded to a two-vehicle collision with injuries at Grande and El Pueblo boulevards on Tuesday, March 31.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, a witness told deputies a vehicle traveling east on Grande did not stop for a stop sign and collided with an SUV in the intersection.

The impact rolled the SUV onto its top.

Rural/Metro ambulance personnel transported three patients to Scottsdale hospitals for treatment. The injuries were described as non-life threatening.

*On Tuesday, March 24, deputies responded to the 14000 block of Edgeworth Drive. They were investigating a report that two men were engaged in a physical fight following a verbal altercation.

*On Monday, March 30, a Phoenix man was not injured when his car went off McDowell Mountain Road just south of Rio Verde and struck a guardrail. It appears the driver was southbound and failed to negotiate a curve and struck a couple of trees before colliding with the guardrail. He was evaluated at the scene by Rio Verde Fire District paramedics, but declined further treatment.

*On Sunday, March 29, a Payson man was observed in the Fountain Hills Target store shoplifting wireless headphones with a value of $300.

*On Wednesday, April 1, a Fountain Hills woman reported an unidentified male had touched her inappropriately as she was removing items from her vehicle in the parking lot in the 14000 block of Oakwood Lane. When she resisted the suspect fled across the street into a wash.

*On Tuesday, March 31, there was a two-vehicle collision on Saguaro Boulevard at El Lago Boulevard. The vehicles sustained minor damage in a rear-end collision.

*On Friday, April 3, deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Boulder Drive at Rock Valley Plaza. A woman driving a U.S. Postal Service truck was pulling away from the curb attempting to make a U-turn when she was struck by a southbound SUV. There were no injuries.

*On Friday, April 3, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for domestic violence disorderly conduct. Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Redrock Drive due to a call from the woman. She had an argument with her husband and reportedly was yelling and using profanity.

*On Saturday, April 4, a man was arrested for driving with a suspended license after being stopped for speeding on Fountain Hills Boulevard near Fairfax Drive. Deputies determined he was driving 56 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. He was also cited for speed not reasonable and prudent.

*On Saturday, April 4, a Fort McDowell man was arrested for shoplifting at the Fountain Hills Target store. A store security officer observed the man on surveillance video removing items from packaging. As the man and a companion attempted to leave the store they saw a Sheriff’s patrol vehicle and went back inside. Deputies detained the one suspect, but did not make immediate contact with the second suspect.

*Employees coming to work at the Verizon store on Shea Boulevard Monday morning, April 6, discovered that someone had broken into the store over the holiday weekend. Suspects had made access into a vacant adjoining suite in the building and broke through a wall into the store. They continued through the wall into an office where a safe is located. There was no immediate report of any merchandise stolen, however, damage to the walls and door locks is estimated at $800.
