The residents told deputies they received about 15 calls from an unknown person and they considered some to be threatening in nature.
The initial call told the couple they had won money, but they said they were not interested and hung up. However, the person kept calling back acting belligerent and making threats including on their life.

A Fountain Hills couple contacted the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, Oct. 12, to report a series of harassing phone calls.
The residents told deputies they received about 15 calls from an unknown person and they considered some to be threatening in nature.
The initial call told the couple they had won money, but they said they were not interested and hung up. However, the person kept calling back acting belligerent and making threats including on their life.
Deputies turned the information over to detectives who would attempt to trace the call.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 13, deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision in front of the post office on Avenue of the Fountains. A postal vehicle was making a right-hand-turn from the post office onto the Avenue when it was struck by an eastbound vehicle. There were no injuries and damage was minimal. The postal vehicle driver was cited for failure to yield.
*On Monday, Oct. 5, a Scottsdale man was cited for excessive speed traveling greater than 20 miles per hour over the posted limit. The driver was stopped on Shea Boulevard where he was stopped near Balera Drive clocked at 76 miles per-hour.
*On Thursday, Oct. 15, a resident of the 15000 block of Sage Drive reported someone had broken into her secured curbside mailbox. She told deputies she went to retrieve her mail when she discovered the lock had been broken and pried open. She had surveillance video of the area and saw a car drive up in front of her mailbox for several minutes before leaving. The vehicle and passengers were not identifiable. The damage to the mailbox is estimated at $50. It is uncertain what value there might have been with the contents.
*On Thursday, Oct. 15, deputies were called to a Scottsdale hospital for a report of possible elder abuse. A caregiver had discovered injuries to her 85-year-old charge and took her to the hospital, and a report was made to deputies.
