Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 19-year-old Fountain Hills man after a rampage that included an alleged assault on his father, considerable damage to his father’s home and fleeing through backyards in a northwest neighborhood.
Deputies received the initial report from the father in the 16000 block of Dixie Mine Trail. The dad said they got into an argument after he questioned the son about being late for work. The son allegedly struck his father, damaged doors in the house and broke mirrors.
The son fled when the father called police. Neighbors reported the man in several back yards and washes. He was apprehended several blocks away in the side yard of a home in the 16000 block of Bottlebrush Way.

The son faces charges for domestic violence assault, domestic violence disorderly conduct, three counts of domestic violence criminal damage and two counts of trespassing.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 6, a resident of the 14000 block of Mary Vista Lane in Maricopa County complained about loud wind chimes at a neighbor’s house.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 6, deputies investigated a two-vehicle collision at Sycamore and Ocotillo drives. One vehicle was stopped for a stop sign when it was struck by the second vehicle making a left turn. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 6, an Ohio woman called to report she could not reach her mother in Fountain Hills. Deputies were unable to locate the woman based on the initial information provided by the daughter.
*On Monday, Sept. 28, a resident reported their vehicle had been damaged with a key while it was parked in the 12000 block of Mountainside Drive.
*On Wednesday, Oct. 7, a Fountain Hills woman, age 82, reported she was the victim of a phone scam asking for bail money for a grandchild supposedly arrested for DUI. The caller identified themselves as a prosecutor and asked for $1,000 in bail money to be sent via money card purchased at a drug store.
*On Thursday, Oct. 8, deputies stopped a Fountain Hills man for speeding on Shea Boulevard (72 where the speed limit is 50) and found him to be driving under the influence. He was arrested for having a blood alcohol level exceeding .15.
*On Thursday, Oct. 8, residents of the 15000 block of Stratford Circle called to report a loud noise from a neighbor’s house. Deputies found the neighbor was operating an air compressor and was about finished with his project and shut it off.
*On Thursday, Oct. 8, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man for violating a court order of protection. He was located at home in the 15000 block of Del Ray Drive. He faces charges of two counts of threatening and intimidating, two counts of interfering with the judicial process and two counts of disorderly conduct, and displaying a weapon.
