Deputies were responding to a report from a third party that the woman had been “body slammed” to the sidewalk by the man.
The woman told deputies that he also grabbed her by the throat and hit her head on the sidewalk. The man denied the assault, but told deputies the two had been drinking at a bar before returning to his residence.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man on Christmas Eve for an alleged assault on his girlfriend.
Deputies were responding to a report from a third party that the woman had been “body slammed” to the sidewalk by the man.
The woman told deputies that he also grabbed her by the throat and hit her head on the sidewalk. The man denied the assault, but told deputies the two had been drinking at a bar before returning to his residence.
The woman’s injuries were consistent with her version of things. The man is facing charges for domestic violence assault with intent to injure, domestic violence disorderly conduct for fighting, domestic violence disorderly conduct for displaying a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
*On Sunday, Dec. 20, a Fountain Hills man was cited for criminal speed traveling 56 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35 on Fountain Hills Boulevard.
*On Saturday, Dec. 19, deputies received a report that someone had siphoned 100 gallons of diesel fuel from a grader parked at a construction site in the 29000 block of N. 172nd Street off Rio Verde Drive. The fuel was valued at $240.
*On Monday, Dec. 21, deputies investigated a two-vehicle, non-injury collision at Saguaro Boulevard and La Montana Drive. A driver was traveling south on Saguaro when a woman pulled from the westbound La Montana Drive and collided with the southbound vehicle. She was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
*On Monday, Dec. 21, a Fountain Hills man turned in a handgun to deputies that he had found in the desert near State Route 87 and the Bush Highway. The gun was reported stolen by a Tempe man.
*On Tuesday, Dec. 22, deputies received a report of tools stolen from a construction site in the 19000 block Alondra Way in Rio Verde. The tools and equipment had been stored on the back patio of a home where a masonry contractor was working. Value of the stolen items is estimated at $5,000.
*On Wednesday, Dec. 23, a Fountain Hills woman was arrested for an alleged assault on her husband at a residence in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard. She reportedly threatened him with a knife.
*On Saturday, Dec. 19, a woman reported she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend at a residence in the 29000 block of N. 153rd Street. She told deputies she had gone to his residence to check on his welfare when the incident occurred.
*On Wednesday, Dec. 23, a resident of the 16000 block of Kingstree Boulevard reported the theft of a cowhide rug and two chaise lounge chairs from her residence. The value estimate is $760.
*On Wednesday, Dec. 23, the manager at the CopperWynd Resort reported receiving a number of harassing phone calls from a man who is the ex-boyfriend of a resort employee. The manager said the suspect had made a phone call that sounded threatening and alarmed another employee who had taken the call.
*On Wednesday, Dec. 23, a resident of the 16000 block of Briarwood Drive reported someone had egged his residence.
*On Thursday, Dec. 24, a Fountain Hills woman reported her boyfriend had taken her purse containing her credit cards, driver license and a Social Security card.
*On Thursday, Dec. 24, deputies were called to a reported accident in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard. They found that a woman had struck a parked car. She was cited for aggravated DUI for driving with a suspended license and having a child under the age of 15 in the vehicle as well as endangerment.
