The man said he passed by a woman with two dogs on leashes standing on the sidewalk. He said as he passed by one of the dogs he described as a German Shepherd nipped at his leg, tearing his shorts, but not injuring him.
He told deputies he was concerned about the dog so close to the school with children about to be let out. He said he had notified the school.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies received a report from a man that a dog had bitten at the man as he walked down the street near McDowell Mountain School on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
The man said he passed by a woman with two dogs on leashes standing on the sidewalk. He said as he passed by one of the dogs he described as a German Shepherd nipped at his leg, tearing his shorts, but not injuring him.
He told deputies he was concerned about the dog so close to the school with children about to be let out. He said he had notified the school.
The woman was questioned by deputies and she reported she waits with the dogs every day for her kids to get out of school to walk home.
She said she has seen the man before, but on this day he approached her and the dogs and put his hand down in a fist and the dog sniffed at it. She said as the man passed by the dog lunged out and nipped at him.
*On Monday, Oct. 24, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone attempted to use her credit card number. She reported that her Social Security card is also missing.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 25, a Canadian woman reported someone had stolen her purse from her car while it was parked at Fountain Park. A window was broken in the vehicle and the purse valued at $80 was taken. It contained various papers related to the woman’s work.
*Deputies received a letter written by a couple that had previously witnessed a pit bull attack a Fountain Hills man who was walking his dog near Sirocco and Inca Drives. They reported the attacking dog had knocked down the man and was attacking his smaller dog. The couple reported they threw rocks at the pit bull until it released the smaller dog. The man received minor cuts and bruises and his dog received some stitches from the vet.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 25, a Fountain Hills woman reported two men came to her door claiming to be with the FBI, flashed an open wallet and asked her if she knew where they could find another woman who previously lived at that address. She told them no and they left in an older model sedan.
*On Monday, Oct. 24, a Fountain Hills man reported the theft of tools from his vehicle parked in the 13000 block of Vista Del Lago. The items stolen have a value of about $360.
*On Wednesday, Oct. 26, a Mesa woman reported that an acquaintance had taken her vehicle without permission after he dropped her off at a Fountain Hills hotel to visit a friend.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 18, a woman reported to deputies that someone had stolen a wallet containing about $300 cash and a bottle of prescription medication (OxyContin). The woman and her husband had just moved to town and she discovered the items were missing after the movers finished.
*On Wednesday, Oct. 26, deputies were called to a residence in the 28000 block of N. 148th Street in unincorporated county where a woman reported someone had removed items from the home. She is divorcing her estranged husband and they are in a dispute over the property and each has an order of protection saying they cannot enter the house. Her OOP was amended allowing her the stay at the house and she noticed the missing property when she returned.
*On Thursday, Oct. 27, deputies received a report of a woman trespassing on neighbor’s property in the 22000 block of Pleasant View Road in the Goldfield area. The woman told deputies she confronted a man she felt was driving too fast on the street. The driver was a contractor working at a neighbor’s property.
*On Thursday, Oct. 27, a man reported that he witnessed three people, two men and one woman, attempted to hook up a trailer and drive it from behind a business in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard. They left after he told them he knew they did not own the trailer.
*On Thursday, Oct. 27, a Fountain Hills man reported a Mesa woman took his vehicle without permission from the 16000 block of El Lago Boulevard. He knew the woman and had picked her up earlier in the day.
*On Thursday, Oct. 27, a Fountain Hills woman reported that someone had removed several items valued at about $440 from a residence in the 17000 block of Baca Drive.
*On Friday, Oct. 21, an employee at Fountain Hills High School reported someone had removed a pallet filled with concrete brick from school property without permission. The area where the bricks were stored was not secured. The value is $350.
*On Friday, Oct. 28, deputies stopped a Fountain Hills woman for speeding on Palisades Boulevard and found her to be driving with a suspended license.
