A deputy on patrol observed a vehicle speeding on Fountain Hills Boulevard and pulled the vehicle over near Ironwood Drive. While the deputy was making license plate checks from his own vehicle the suspect vehicle fled north on Fountain Hills Boulevard at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was not immediately located.
A short time later deputies received a couple of reports of men knocking on doors seeking help with a flat on their vehicle.

A deputy on patrol observed a vehicle speeding on Fountain Hills Boulevard and pulled the vehicle over near Ironwood Drive. While the deputy was making license plate checks from his own vehicle the suspect vehicle fled north on Fountain Hills Boulevard at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was not immediately located.
A short time later deputies received a couple of reports of men knocking on doors seeking help with a flat on their vehicle.
When deputies arrived near Lamont and Hawk drives to follow up on those reports they recognized the vehicle as the one that fled the traffic stop earlier.
As they searched the area for suspects deputies made contact with a cab driver near Lamplighter Way and Saguaro Boulevard. The cab driver was looking for two men who had called for a ride.
Neither the deputies nor the cab driver located the men.
*On Tuesday, Aug. 29, a resident reported a suspicious vehicle in their neighborhood in the 16000 block of Glenbrook Boulevard. Someone pulled up in a large white van. They knocked on the door and then left.
*On Monday, Aug. 28, a man reported someone had attempted to direct a check for $5,750 from his business account to another account at a New Jersey location.
*On Tuesday, Aug. 29, a man reported to deputies he had been assaulted by a male suspect in a hotel parking lot in the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard. The man said he drove himself to the hospital where he received seven or eight stitches over his eye. He also said the assailant had kicked him in the ribs.
*On Thursday, Aug. 31, a Fountain Hills woman reported someone forged a check from her personal account for $155.
*On Saturday, Sept. 2, deputies responded with fire department crews to a reported vehicle fire in front of a residence under construction in the Adero Canyon subdivision. The vehicle was found fully involved in flames when responders arrived. The fire was reported by a nearby office employee and workers said the truck caught fire just after one of them had returned from picking up drinks. Damage was confined to the vehicle.
*On Sunday, Sept. 3, deputies were called to the Verde River Golf Club at 28000 N. Verde River Way at the Trilogy development. An employee of the golf club reported two ATVs with two people each were seen on the golf course and the caused damage to the turf on three of the golf holes. Deputies were able to follow a trail left by the vehicles to near Dixileta Road and 160th Street. No suspects were located.
*On Sunday, Sept. 3, deputies were called to the Circle K in the 17000 block of Shea Boulevard for a reported assault. They were told that a suspect shoved the victim then left in a vehicle east on Shea toward the Beeline Highway. Witnesses reported a fight involving several people with bottle throwing. Deputies found no sign of bottles being thrown at the store.
*On Monday, Sept. 4, a woman reported someone had written obscene graffiti on her vehicle with a marker.
*On Monday, Sept. 4, deputies arrested a man for two outstanding warrants. They responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 13000 block of Hamilton Drive.
*On Wednesday, Aug. 30, a resident reported someone had broken into their home in the 14000 block of Edgeworth Drive. There was damage to the front door and a side RV gate as well as a window. The caller reported a vehicle and a motorcycle missing, but nothing appeared to be taken from inside the home.
*On Tuesday, Sept. 5, deputies investigated a vehicle accident on Saguaro Boulevard at Desert Vista. A driver heading north on Saguaro collided with a vehicle attempting to make a left turn from Desert Vista onto southbound Saguaro. No one was injured.
