The woman’s husband called to report her missing at about 6 p.m., after she had not returned home. She was last seen about 9 a.m. Tuesday by a neighbor who spoke with her as she walked away from the home.
Deputies concentrated the search in a nearby wash and used a helicopter and K-9 resources to assist. The search went on through the night.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a missing woman from her home on Chinook Plaza off Calico Drive on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
The woman’s husband called to report her missing at about 6 p.m., after she had not returned home. She was last seen about 9 a.m. Tuesday by a neighbor who spoke with her as she walked away from the home.
Deputies concentrated the search in a nearby wash and used a helicopter and K-9 resources to assist. The search went on through the night.
At about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1, deputies received a report of a woman in the desert off Boulder Drive. She was found by a woman who had gone out for a walk.
The woman was identified as the missing woman and medically checked by fire department medics.
*On Wednesday, Oct. 25, deputies made contact with a male subject after receiving a report that he had allegedly been disruptive and using obscene gestures and language at a Community Center event. The man had left the Community Center by the time deputies arrived, but they located him and questioned him a short distance away. No one wished to press charges and the man was given a courtesy ride to a hotel.
*On Saturday, Oct. 28, a deputy on patrol encountered a male subject near Ironwood Drive and Fountain Hills Boulevard. The subject was identified as a Mesa man who was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest for failing to appear in court. He was taken into custody and transferred to Mesa Police.
*On Saturday, Oct. 28, deputies received a call of a man down inside a vehicle parked on Hamilton Drive near Bayfield Drive. The man did not immediately respond to attempts to rouse him. He was evaluated by fire department medics but declined transport to the hospital. Deputies arrested the man for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia as well as DUI. He was cited and released at the scene with his vehicle impounded.
*On Sunday, Oct. 29, a Fountain Hills man reported he was being harassed by a woman who was incessantly ringing his doorbell. Deputies charged the woman with disorderly conduct after video showed that she had been ringing the doorbell.
*On Saturday, Oct. 28, a woman wanted a Fountain Hills man charged with theft for not returning her belongings after she had moved out of his house. Deputies arranged for the woman to retrieve the belongings without her having to make contract with the man.
*On Saturday, Oct. 28, deputies investigated a two-vehicle collision at Panorama Drive and Saguaro Boulevard. It was a rear-end collision at the stoplight with no injuries. One driver was cited for failure to control his vehicle and arrested for DUI.
*On Sunday, Oct. 29, deputies responded to a single vehicle collision at Saguaro and Fountain Hills boulevards where a car struck a tree. A witness reported the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when they tried to make a left turn onto Fountain Hills Boulevard and went into a yard, hitting the tree. The driver was given a sobriety test and taken into custody for DUI.
*On Sunday, Oct. 29, a resident of the 17000 block of Grande Boulevard reported a vehicle had struck his mailbox.
*On Sunday, Oct. 29, a Virginia woman reported a missing backpack after she had participated in a 100-mile overnight race at McDowell Mountain Park. She had been given a ride to the park from her hotel by an acquaintance from other racing competitions. However, after finishing the race the people she got a ridge with and her backpack with some cash and bank cards were missing.
*On Monday, Oct. 30, a Fountain Hills man was arrested for assault and making threats to his wife. He faced charges including assault with intent to injure, threats to intimidate, disorderly conduct and aggravated domestic violence.
*On Thursday, Oct. 26, a Fountain Hills woman reported a storage room at her residence in the 14000 block of Boxwood Lane had been broken into. It appeared nothing had been taken. There have been several similar reports taken from the same residential complex in recent weeks.
*On Thursday, Oct. 26, a resident of the 13000 block of E. Brookhart Way in Maricopa County reported someone broke into their house by breaking a glass door. The hard drive had been removed from a computer in a home office.
*On Sunday, Oct. 29, a resident reported a burglary from his vehicle parked in the 13000 block of Manzanita Lane. A wallet and radar detector were taken.
*On Tuesday, Oct. 31, deputies responded when a resident reported finding the contents of a purse in a parking lot near Palisades and La Montana. The owner of the purse was identified and reported they were unaware it was missing.
