Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 30-year-old Fountain Hills woman for DUI and unlawful flight following a pursuit on Fountain Hills Boulevard Christmas night.

MCSO began receiving reports of a reckless or impaired driver at about 7:30 p.m. A deputy began pursuit after the woman nearly collided with his patrol vehicle near Ironwood Drive.

The deputy followed at speeds near 60 miles per hour north on Fountain Hills Boulevard until the woman drove into the median and stopped.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 30-year-old Fountain Hills woman for DUI and unlawful flight following a pursuit on Fountain Hills Boulevard Christmas night.

MCSO began receiving reports of a reckless or impaired driver at about 7:30 p.m. A deputy began pursuit after the woman nearly collided with his patrol vehicle near Ironwood Drive.

The deputy followed at speeds near 60 miles per hour north on Fountain Hills Boulevard until the woman drove into the median and stopped.

A breathalyzer test at the scene recorded a blood alcohol level of .235 for the woman.

The woman told deputies she had spent Christmas with family when she began arguing with her mother and grandmother. She left the house and began drinking.

*On Wednesday, Dec. 20, a Fountain Hills man reported an unknown person used his identification to open eight credit card accounts.

*On Thursday, Dec. 21, deputies took a report on a stolen rental truck from a U-Haul dealer in Fountain Hills.

*On Thursday, Dec. 21, a Fountain Hills woman reported she believes she was scammed while attempting to purchase a dog online from Oklahoma. She paid $500 and had not received the dog. Deputies were able to contact the seller who told them he was having difficulty getting the dog on a flight for shipping. The woman agreed to allow for more time before following up on the complaint.

*On Friday, Dec. 22, deputies received a report of a disorderly man at a resort in the 9800 block of Summerhill Boulevard. A manager at the inn reported the man was shouting obscenities at management and guests from a guest room balcony. Deputies checked on the identity of the man and found he had warrants for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with a probation violation, misconduct with weapons and possession of dangerous drugs.

*On Saturday, Dec. 23, a Phoenix woman was stopped on Shea Boulevard for speeding and deputies found she had driving privileges suspended and no valid driver license. She was cited and released at the scene.

*On Saturday, Dec. 23, a Fountain Hills man reported someone had struck his vehicle parked in the 14000 block of Wendover Drive. The driver left the scene without leaving notice.

*On Saturday, Dec. 23, deputies responded to reports of a car driven through yards on Spotted Horse Way. The vehicle had struck a mailbox and cactus and damaged other landscaping across two properties. Deputies located the vehicle parked at a nearby residence and contacted the registered owner. She acknowledged driving the vehicle and agreed to address the damage with the homeowners. She told deputies she is from out of state and was confused about variances in laws from state to state and that is why she did not report the incident.

*On Wednesday, Dec. 20, a Fountain Hills man was arrested and cited for shoplifting at a local store.

*On Monday, Dec. 18, a Fountain Hills woman reported an unknown suspect contacted her and identified themselves as a representative of an internet security firm. She provided them with personal identification that she said was used to make purchases online.
