*Deputies investigated the burglary of $2,382 worth of landscaping equipment from the Verde River Golf Course maintenance shed sometime between the evening of Feb. 15 and the next morning.
*On March 15, deputies investigated a report that a man was sleeping in his vehicle parked at the Circle K at Shea and Saguaro Boulevard. After questioning him – a 48-year-old Lima, Ohio resident – he was charged with extreme DUI with a blood alcohol count of .15-.20. He was transported to the Fourth Avenue Jail.

*On March 15, deputies investigated a report that a man was sleeping in his vehicle parked at the Circle K at Shea and Saguaro Boulevard. After questioning him – a 48-year-old Lima, Ohio resident – he was charged with extreme DUI with a blood alcohol count of .15-.20. He was transported to the Fourth Avenue Jail.
*On Feb. 18, a 63-year-old resident reported that he was a victim of fraudulent activity that resulted in the loss of $3,600 from his bank account.
*A Cavern Drive woman filed a report of identity theft March 19 when an unknown individual used her name and Social Security number to open a Home Depot credit card. *A report was filed March 16 about a vehicle hitting a water main in the 16000 block of Tamarack Lane. No injuries were reported.
*Deputies responded to a call of an unresponsive 77-year-old man March 17 in the 1600 block of Ponderosa Drive. The individual was known to have a history of heart problems. He was transported to Scottsdale Honor Health Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
*Police answered a call that a 74-year-old man became unresponsive while eating dinner March 19 in Rio Verde. He was transported to HonorHealth Thompson Peak. The cause of death was determined to be cardiac related.
*A resident on North Crown Ridge in Eagle Mountain filed a report March 17 that a golfer broke a window at her home. No one was detained.
*Deputies investigated a two-car accident March 19 at El Lago and Palisades Boulevard. One driver said he had halted at the stop sign on El Lago and attempted to turn left onto Palisades when he struck the passenger side of a sports utility vehicle heading north on Palisades. No citations were issued to either driver. No injuries were reported.
*A Gambel Drive resident turned over a drone found in the bushes on her property on March 29. The seasonal resident described the drone as the size of a large pizza and could have been on her property for years. Deputies placed the item in its found property department.
*A woman reported that a tenant had removed several appliances from her El Lago condominium between March 15 and 25. After interviewing the 48-year-old tenant, deputies placed the case on inactive status.
*Deputies investigated a report of a missing 82-year-old man on March 19. He returned to his condominium the following day, telling deputies that he took a long walk and returned home before midnight. He refused any medical attention.
*On March 19, deputies interviewed a 28-year-old prisoner in Towers Jail, Phoenix, on charges unrelated to his incarceration. He was questioned about a felony theft that occurred Jan. 28 in a Salida Drive home. The female owner reported money and items were missing after she hired him and an El Mirage man to perform chores around her home. The case remains open pending contact with the second individual.
