Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report by a Fountain Hills woman that she was robbed at gunpoint while delivering a pizza on Tuesday, April 24.

The woman reported she was stopped in the roadway in the 16000 block for Jacklin Drive looking for an address when she was bumped from behind by another vehicle. When she got out of her vehicle to investigate a man got out of the passenger side of the vehicle behind her, pointing a gun and demanded money.

The woman gave the man $15 cash and her cell phone. He also had her open the trunk and he took the pizza she was delivering.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report by a Fountain Hills woman that she was robbed at gunpoint while delivering a pizza on Tuesday, April 24.

The woman reported she was stopped in the roadway in the 16000 block for Jacklin Drive looking for an address when she was bumped from behind by another vehicle. When she got out of her vehicle to investigate a man got out of the passenger side of the vehicle behind her, pointing a gun and demanded money.

The woman gave the man $15 cash and her cell phone. He also had her open the trunk and he took the pizza she was delivering.

The vehicle made a U-turn in the street and drove away. The woman told deputies the vehicle was a luxury vehicle and the suspect passenger was an African American male. She did not get a look at the driver.

A short distance away, deputies located a woman standing by the street in her driveway with cash in hand, waiting for the pizza.

*On Monday, April 16, deputies stopped a Phoenix man for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard. He was cited for speeding, driving without a valid license and failure to carry registration in the vehicle.

*On Friday, April 20, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills man following an altercation at a local grocery store. The man allegedly threatened store personnel with “brass knuckles” when he was confronted about stealing merchandise. Deputies located the man and placed him under arrest. They are seeking charges for assault with a dangerous instrument, threatening and intimidating, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

*On Friday, April 20, deputies responded to a reported assault at a residence in the 16000 block of La Montana Drive. The male suspect allegedly pushed his girlfriend out of the apartment and struck the woman’s mother, causing injuries. Deputies took the man into custody and are referring the case to the town prosecutor on assault charges.

*On Friday, April 20, a Fountain Hills woman reported her ex-husband broke into her residence in the 9000 block of Indigo Lane. She said the two had argued earlier and he had followed her home to a gated community. The case was pending an interview with the suspect.

*On Saturday, April 21, a Fountain Hills resident reported an unknown subject had used her identification to file a tax return.

*On Saturday, April 21, a Fountain Hills resident reported someone had taken her mother’s credit card from her residence in the 16000 block of La Montana and used it without permission.

*On Saturday, April 21, deputies received a report that someone had removed a security lockbox from a building at an apartment complex in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard. The box contains keys for emergency fire department access and is valued at $100.

*On Saturday, April 21, deputies responded to the Beeline Highway Mile Post 196 at the request of a DPS officer and Fort McDowell Police. They were investigating a report of a road rage incident that took place in Fountain Hills a short time before. Police had stopped a man on the highway who reported he was “freaked out” by contact with people in another vehicle on Shea Boulevard and started waving a handgun. It was determined the gun was not loaded and Fort McDowell Police had made contact with subjects in the second vehicle and determined no crime took place.

*On Thursday, April 19, deputies received a report from a man that he had been jumped by three men as he crossed the Safeway parking lot in Fountain Hills. He suffered an injury to his collarbone.

*On Sunday, April 22, a Phoenix woman reported the window of her vehicle had been broken while it was parked in the 17000 block of Enterprise Drive in Fountain Hills. The woman was not in Fountain Hills but reported the incident when an anti-theft device in her vehicle was activated.

*On Sunday, April 22, deputies received a report of criminal damage and theft from the Fountain Hills Unified School District at its transportation facility on Rand Drive. A fence was damaged and approximately 40 gallons of fuel had been removed from a vehicle.

*On Monday, April 23, a Fountain Hills man was arrested for criminal damage after he allegedly broke a computer during an argument.

*On Tuesday, April 24, a Glendale man was stopped for failing to stop for a stop sign and was also cited for driving with a suspended license and was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

*On Monday, April 23, a Fountain Hills resident reported a man with a court order of protection against him had called several times and had been inside the residence he was trespassed from. Deputies are asking for charges for interfering with a judicial process.

*On Tuesday, April 24, deputies were called to Fire Station #1 on Palisades Boulevard where a woman reported she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. They were driving home from a bar and were both passengers in a vehicle when he “freaked out” and began hitting her and then ran from the vehicle. Deputies located the man at the bar the couple had just left and he was arrested for alleged assault.

*On Wednesday, April 25, deputies were called to review security surveillance video from the Target store. A male subject was seen shoplifting $550 in merchandise and leaving the store. He was later arrested by Scottsdale Police for stealing from a second store in that city. The man faces charges of organized retail theft.

*On Wednesday, April 25, a male subject in a red shirt was seen taking two 18-packs of beer from a convenience market at Palisades and Fountain Hills boulevards. The value is approximately $35.
