Finally, something Democrats and Republicans can agree upon: the lagoon is a dumb idea. There’s no way to estimate if the lagoon will support downtown growth or existing business. We suspect it will do neither while wasting our valuable resources. Specifically:
*It will be too expensive to build.
*It will be too expensive to maintain.
*There is no realistic way to measure return on investment.
*It does not fit with the character of Fountain Hills.
*It will increase debris and garbage, requiring constant clean-up.
It is time for citizens of Fountain Hills to unite against the dumb lagoon.
