Kindness

In picking up a pizza last week at Papa Murphy’s I was given a note attached to a $20 bill. The note advised me that it was a “Pay It Forward” gift from a total stranger.

While some may despair over the negativity so prevalent in our culture and media these days, this experience reminded me that anonymous kindness and generosity are still fundamental strengths in the American character.

Thank you, kind stranger, for reinforcing my faith in the values that make our nation so great. Paying it forward will now be my opportunity to extend your compassionate gesture.
