I want to thank the Bashas’ coworker who returned my misplaced wallet (left outside on a cart in the parking lot) a couple of weeks ago. No telling the repercussions of lost credit cards, cash and possibly identity theft.
The honesty of and trustworthiness of this staff member is so refreshing in a world caught up in lying, cheating, mistrust, scamming...on and on.
I also want to thank our Fountain Hills Fire Department for my timely rescue from being trapped in an office elevator a few months ago. It’s a bit unnerving, when quite late and after hours, the doors don’t open, and no one to hear you pounding on the door!

I dutifully called the elevator maintenance company who said a serviceman would be dispatched as soon as possible…from Glendale! Expecting a delay, I called our fire department who responded in four or five minutes.
Some 30 or 40 minutes later, they successfully picked through various mechanisms declaring me a “freed man.”
We chatted a bit and went on our merry ways. As I walked through the parking lot, I was approached by the newly-arrived elevator serviceman. How timely! Enough said.
