Kindness

A group of seven women were having lunch on Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Streets of New York. We were having a gathering because a former member of our book club was back in town for a visit. Not only were we discussing interesting books we had read, but many other things.

You can imagine our shock and surprise when we asked for the check and the waitress told us it was taken care of by someone who had also been having lunch while we were there. A huge thank you goes out to the generous person who did this.

After all of the nastiness that has been in the news with the elections, this is an example of the incredible kindness of some people. We will pay it forward and do an act of kindness for others.
