Judge Judy

After reading the letters, TV news reports, if a survey were done, it looks like it would be 90 to 10 in favor of Mrs. Aister and rightly so. I wonder why the School Board didn’t see it that way. Let’s look at it from Judge Judy’s perspective; when no proof has been shown she goes to “common sense and motivation.”

Does anyone, even the School Board, think that Mrs. Aister went out of the cafeteria to the school yard to cause a commotion and create a disturbance? No, she was reacting to being alerted of an existing disturbance, as was her duty to do so. No one left crying or injured; it lasted 15 seconds.

As to motive for the firing, apparently one of the students went home upset about Mrs. Aister scolding him and as kids will do, exaggerated to exonerate himself from any guilt (oh, not my son). Anyone who has children knows this to be factual, it’s what happens.

It’s not a lie, it’s what the child wanted to remember how it happened and a mother standing up for her child. No one likes to be labeled or thought of as a bully or racist. Judge Judy’s decision without deliberation – not guilty!

It should not have come this far and it should be corrected immediately.

One more point to my position on the school override issue aside from the above, is one of fiscal responsibility. I have lived here 37 years, supported every school issue to ever come before us, but enough is enough.

The district owns two pieces of property and an empty school, let’s sell the lots and save the taxpayer from an extended tax burden, like our federal government keeps doing. And furthermore it hasn't improved our school systems ratings to keep throwing money at it. We need some better leadership.
