JOY Church invites the community to a free family movie night Saturday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m., featuring a screening of the heartfelt film, “Letters to God.”
“Letters to God” is a story of how one boy’s walk of faith inspires those around him and how a simple act of prayer can change hearts and lives.
The movie tells the moving story of Tyler Doherty, an eight-year-old boy facing cancer with courage, grace and an unshakable faith, according to a press release. Each day, Doherty writes letters to God — his way of praying and staying connected to hope.

When the letters fall into the hands of Brady McDaniels, a troubled postman struggling with his own life challenges, their lives become unexpectedly intertwined. What follows is a powerful, faith-filled journey that touches an entire community.
Admission is free and all are welcome to attend. Bring family, friends and neighbors for a night of inspiration, community and uplifting entertainment.
“Letters to God” is rated PG.
