Johnson: I strongly encourage Fountain Hills voters approve the bond
Please vote yes for the Fountain Hills School District bond program by Nov. 7.
The bond program supports major improvements to our schools. These funds will specifically go to building renovations, including many extremely important security enhancements. Also included will be funding for athletic facilities and the transportation facility.
My son, Lucas, graduated in 2015 and had a dynamic, wonderful experience for 13 years in our school district. For him, being involved in three sports annually enabled him to learn how to “win” and how to “lose.” He had outstanding, caring coaches in football, soccer and the golf program. These coaches invested their heart and souls into helping all athletes develop strong character traits.

These character traits have proven invaluable during Lucas’ four years at the University of Arizona and four years working successfully at a Fortune 500 company. These character traits will remain with him the rest of his lifetime.
I strongly encourage Fountain Hills voters approve implementation of the bond for the benefit of our students, teachers, administrators, parents and community.
For me, I continue to support our schools even eight years after my son graduated. Now I’m able to give back financially and in other ways to do my small part to provide our present students with the facilities and life-changing experience that my son had.
We have award-winning Fountain Hills public schools. Let's keep that momentum going for years to come!
