John Voris

John Voris went to be with the Lord on Oct. 28, 2013. He was 77 years old. His services were performed by Pastor Joel Bjerkestrand at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary on Oct. 31.

John was born in Rockford, Ill. and grew up in St. Louis, Mo. After proudly serving in the United States Army stationed in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., he graduated from Washington University with honors and became a Certified Public Accountant with Peat Marwick. John later moved to Springfield, Ill. and became a partner with McGladrey.

After retirement from McGladrey, John moved to Colorado and was chief financial officer for Loveland Ski Basin. He loved the outdoors, and spent time with family skiing, hiking and fishing. John later retired to Fountain Hills.

John is survived by his wife Jacqueline Voris and son, Todd Voris. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Hospice/Hospice of Arizona.
