John McLaughlin

John (Jack) McLaughlin, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sept. 29, 2014. Jack was born on Oct. 5, 1925 in Freeport, Ill. of Charles Harold and Lucille (Landt) McLaughlin.

Jack relocated to Arizona in 1945 and was a long time resident of the Scottsdale area, most recently in Fountain Hills since 1996. Jack was a long time executive for General Foods Corporation covering the western states, retiring in 1983 after 38 years.

Jack was an accomplished wood carver and enjoyed hobbies, traveling, and western gardening.

Jack was preceded in death by his son, Randy McLaughlin; daughter, Jamie McLaughlin; brother, Harold Keith McLaughlin; and sister, Maxine Padberg. Jack is survived by his wife, Delores of 69 years of Fountain Hills; grandson, Jason LaBrash of Phoenix; and many nieces and nephews.

Jack had asked that there be no service upon his passing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s memory to Hospice of the Valley.
