Joe Ranchel

Joe Ranchel, trap shooter, upland bird hunter, shotgun expert, master of crossword puzzles, beer aficionado and all-around good guy, died in his sleep on Nov. 13, 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Ranchel; his children, Nancy Ranchel and Gil Ranchel; and his granddaughter, Peyton Ranchel. We all miss him like crazy and are quite devastated by his precipitous departure.

Joe was born on May 29, 1939, in Kenosha, Wis. He and Pat moved to Oregon in 1976, to Washington State in the late ‘80s, and in recent years have split their time between Kalama, Wash. and Fountain Hills.
