Jeanette (Saxer) Carl, age 83, of Prairie du Sac, Wis. passed away on Oct. 10, 2016.

Jeanette was born Sept. 29, 1933 in the quaint town of Sauk City, Wis. As a young woman, she eventually met and married Rinold James Carl of Baraboo, Wis. Together they created homes in various cities in Wisconsin while adding three children to complete their family.

Jeanette primarily invested in the valuable role of raising the next generation and building a home, though she entered into the workplace as needed along the way.

She leveraged her considerable organizational and administrative skills in different office settings. Perhaps her most enjoyable employment outside the home was at Wisconsin Coil & Spring in West Allis, Wis.

Possessing an inner courage that always showed up at the right time, her most adventurous step may have involved supporting Rinold in his decision to embrace a five-year employment stint across the ocean in Bangladesh.

Upon returning stateside, they’d had enough of icy winters and moved to sunny Arizona some 30 years ago, where they were quickly enamored with the beauty of the desert. Eventually, they settled in Fountain Hills. Jeanette enjoyed over 48 years of marriage before her beloved passed away.

Jeanette is preceded in death by parents, Raleigh and Florence Saxer; brother, Stanley Saxer; aunt, Leora Saxer; husband Rinold Carl; parents-in-law, Neal and Anna Carl; sister in-law and husband, Marcella (and Buster) Shultis.

Jeanette is survived by daughters, DeAnne Carl and Karen (and Dave) Stuart; son, Steven (and Nancy) Carl; grandchildren, Kyle (and Holly) Stuart, Kendra (and James) Cooke, Rachel (and Brian) Butler, Annie (and Jackson) Yandell, Jimmie (and Ariel) Carl; great grandchildren, Micah and Ben Stuart; brother-in-law Ed (and Betty) Carl; and several nieces and nephews.

Jeanette lived a life that demonstrated faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and service to others as a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and employee. She found great joy in the simple things of life; beautiful birds, fragrant flowers, hot coffee, crossword puzzles, the cool of the morning, concert music, opportunities to travel, and visits from family and friends.

In spite of the adversity with which she was confronted during her lifetime, she consistently chose bravery and perseverance until the very end. She will be greatly missed in this life.

Jeanette’s children would especially like to thank the many friends who kindly assisted in her care, visited her and showered her with cards and tasty goodies. They express deep appreciation to all who spent faithful and unseen hours on their knees concerning the closing chapter of Jeanette’s earthly life. Your prayers have been answered. Jeanette is Home at last!

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Her memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fountain Hills, AZ on Monday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m.
