Continuing the dialogue by Doug Larson in the Jan. 6 column entitled, “Muslims,” I offer these words in addition. America continues to experience an influx of Muslims and most likely will be changed by Islamic influence.
Too much misinformation exists about the reality of Islam. The overwhelming majority of Americans know nothing about Islam’s holy book, the Koran. What they are told by Muslims, uninformed news media and ignorant Christians is that we all worship the same God and all paths, even Islam, lead to Heaven.
Nothing could be further from the truth. With a little research on the internet and Christian book stores, one can quickly find the truth about Islam.

Here are a few facts. Islam acknowledges Jesus only as a prophet - not God incarnate as the Bible says. Muslims believe when Jesus returns, He will have converted to Islam. They believe Jesus wasn’t even crucified and died for our sins, which means the Jesus they speak of is not the Jesus of the Bible.
Prior to the birth of Muhammad, the Arabic people living in the region of Mecca worshiped 360 different deities - two of those being Allat, the female sun god, and Allah, the male moon god. Islamic tradition says these two gods married and had children. Muslims settled on Allah, the moon god, as their god of choice.
The word Allah is a combination of two Arabic words; al which means “the,” and illah which means, “god.” The “I” was left out of illah and formed the word Allah which, is represented by the crescent moon - a false god.
Verse 109:6 in the Koran says, “We (Muslims) do not worship what you (infidels - Christians and Jews) do...we have our way and you have your way.” Hardly the same God.
