Please stop wasting your constituents’ time with all these insipid, innocuous, motherhood-and-apple-pie styled emails whose transparently obvious sole purpose is to keep your name in our faces every few days.
You may be able to fool some of the people all of the time, but I and many others here are not among them.

Open letter to Mr. Schweikert:
Please stop wasting your constituents’ time with all these insipid, innocuous, motherhood-and-apple-pie styled emails whose transparently obvious sole purpose is to keep your name in our faces every few days.
You may be able to fool some of the people all of the time, but I and many others here are not among them.
We are well aware that your far-right leanings and tea party sympathies result in your being effective only as one of the naysayers whose obfuscation and blockage of progress in any direction is sadly the stock and trade of the current majority in the House of Representatives.
These self-serving messages to your email list have nothing to do with the performance of your elected responsibilities, which unfortunately is more a history of non-performance. At least be honest about it. If you don’t have something useful to say, kindly spare us.
For those of us like me who are interested in following success stories about veterans, there are many emailed newsblasts to which one can subscribe, such as that of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA).
From your office, I would simply prefer news of Congressional actions and progress, if and when that may ever be the case.
