My husband and I were honored to attend the presidential inauguration in Washington, D.C. this past week.
We had a great time! We attended the Welcome Celebration where Toby Keith and Lee Greenwood entertained us, along with the firework show! The next morning we attended the stunning inauguration. It was an historical event that will be remembered forever. God bless President Trump and Vice President Pence.
During our visit, there were protesters but, thankfully, we were able to stay away from those areas thanks to the emergency communication system used via texting.

Ironically, we requested inauguration tickets from Congressman Schweikert (absolutely no response at all), Senator McCain and Senator Flake (we received email correspondence but they were unable to fulfill our ticket request). Amazingly, we were able to obtain our tickets through Congressman Ruben Gallego, a Democrat from the west valley. Thank you, Congressman Gallego!
We’re very disappointed in Congressman Schweikert; no response whatsoever. We’re very appreciative for the inauguration tickets from Congressman Gallego and the privilege of attending.
