At the federal level, many important issues are still in flux - the repeal of Obamacare, tax reform, border security and the threat of North Korea, just to name a few. At the county level, the Recorder’s Office is proposing changes in voter registration and in the mechanics of how upcoming elections will be managed, and budget and spending is a recurrent item of concern.
How better to learn more about these issues and voice your opinion than to meet with some of our elected representatives? Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party is ending its summer break and is back to work on its continuing mission of providing you with a convenient, local venue to listen, learn, ask and opine about government, politics and other vital matters.

Fountain Hills Town Council is moving its meetings to Tuesday evenings, so we’re moving to the third Thursday of the month. On Thursday, Aug. 17, Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party will welcome Congressman David Schweikert, a member of the House Freedom Caucus, and Maricopa County Supervisor Steve Chucri. Schweikert and Chucri will give us firsthand updates on current matters and will take our questions. The meeting will be held at Fountain Hills Unified School District Learning Center, at the corner of Golden Eagle and Palisades, starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, Aug. 17.
As always, we welcome all interested parties to attend the meeting and participate. Admission is still free, but donations to cover expenses are gratefully accepted and appreciated. Come, listen, learn, ask and bring a friend. We hope to see you there!
