Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund would qualify for subsidies under this legislation.
Cecilia Munoz is White House top staffer on immigration. New rights would increase flow of immigrants to 30-40 million with clauses to legalize spouses and children also, plus the Dream Act allowing legal status to those who came here before age 16, plus future illegals getting temporary visas that could be converted to legal in a hurry.
Sen. John Cornyn of Texas states bill is chock-full of de facto earmarks, pork barrel spending and special interest sweeteners. An immigration judge could stop deportation on humanitarian or family unity grounds. Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama stated open-ended waivers could ensure mass litigation and end immigration enforcement.
How is this country going to absorb all these people when our own citizens are having a hard time finding work? No wonder these illegals are on a hunger strike in Washington.
