“Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Today we turn away those who risk their lives to become part of our nation while some misguided citizens rip our system apart.

We need to construct a revolving door that welcomes those that would join us and discharges those that would paralyze us with endless bickering or law breaking. “My way or the highway” is not consistent with the concept of “the Loyal Opposition.”

Let’s revise our Constitution to create a new type of citizen status: Provisional Citizen for those who would join us and those we need to consider evicting.
