How golf shaped relationships, life for one Fountain Hills player

Often regarded as the most relatable sport to life itself, golf provides good breaks off bad shots, bad breaks off good shots, and tests players from shot to shot and round to round. 

It’s a humbling game. It’s one recent Fountain Hills graduate Alec Kimmel has utilized to strengthen his relationship with his grandfather while leaning into the discipline and structure to better his own life. 

A dual citizen, Kimmel was born in Canada where he says his dad currently lives and the only family in the states is his grandfather on his mother’s side. While he wasn’t close with his grandpa a year ago, their relationship since has changed the trajectory of his life.
