Housing prices continue to climb in Fountain Hills

Phoenix REALTORS president discusses local real estate

The Valley’s housing market seems to be cooling, but Fountain Hills is bucking the trend.

While prices across metro Phoenix have flattened or dipped in recent months, the median price for a single-family home in Fountain Hills has increased by 7% since June and 14% over the past year — from $780,000 last July to $890,000 today.

In Phoenix, the median sale price held steady at $475,000 in July compared to June, with pending sales dropping more than 30%. Scottsdale saw prices dip 3.6% from last month to $1.12 million, while Mesa’s slight uptick to $480,000 was offset by slower sales and longer days on the market. Peoria’s median home price also dropped in July by nearly 9% from June to $493,500.
