The Town of Fountain Hills in cooperation with Republic Services will host a household hazardous waste disposal event from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Fountain Hills High School parking lot, 16100 E. Palisades Blvd. This event is to serve Fountain Hills residents only.
Typically the items collected will include fertilizers, fuels such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene and ethanol, household cleaning products, pesticides, pool chemicals, used motor oil and filters, automobile batteries, household batteries, propane in small camp stove cannisters and up to five gallon barbecue size tanks, aerosols, latex/oil based paints up to 10 one-gallon or two five-gallon (no commercial) and light bulbs and lamps, fluorescent tubes.
The Town of Fountain Hills and the vendor can handle the majority of waste generated in households, however, some waste materials are not acceptable.

Typically the items collected will include fertilizers, fuels such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene and ethanol, household cleaning products, pesticides, pool chemicals, used motor oil and filters, automobile batteries, household batteries, propane in small camp stove cannisters and up to five gallon barbecue size tanks, aerosols, latex/oil based paints up to 10 one-gallon or two five-gallon (no commercial) and light bulbs and lamps, fluorescent tubes.

Items that will not be accepted include explosives or ammunition, other compressed gasses, radioactive waste, biomedical waste, business generated waste, non-hazardous waste, appliances, tires, asbestos, treated wood, containers larger than five-gallon size, solar panels and any items prohibited from transportation or unknowns.
The vendor reserves the right to decline to accept any material that it cannot dispose of in a lawful manner or without risk of harm to public health or the environment.
The disposal event will be set up in a drive-thru configuration with traffic entering off Hampstead Drive from the north (right turn only). Traffic will exit the south end of the parking lot onto westbound Palisades Boulevard.
