Did you know that nearly 800 people right here in Fountain Hills struggle because they can’t get to medical appointments or grocery stores? This is according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s most recent American Community Survey.
A team of local citizens has formed to help bring additional attention to the need for volunteers to provide transportation and other services for our elderly and disabled residents, many of whom are living with very limited income.
Duet, a nonprofit organization, provides a significant addition to our impressive Fountain Hills volunteer program. Volunteers are encouraged to register with both programs which complement each other.

Here’s how we can help: please attend the upcoming Duet volunteer orientation. Volunteers will be registered, trained and provided liability insurance when they help those in need who sign on with Duet.
When: Tuesday, May 6, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Church of the Ascension, 12615 N. Fountain Hills Blvd.
Please call 602-274-5022 to say you will attend, then bring your driver’s license, proof of car insurance, and reference phone numbers to the orientation.
Giving a small amount of our time can return huge benefits to those in need, and ourselves.
