I felt compelled to write after reading Peggy Purvis’ letter to the editor of Dec. 24, 2013 regarding Obamacare.
While it may be true Ms. Purvis that health care costs were minimized by Obamacare, for most small business owners it’s quite the opposite. What Ms. Purvis disregards is the fact that the law was sold on lies, and Obama continues to shred the Constitution to get the disaster done.
A CEO in business would be in jail right now for a similar fraud. Does honesty not mean anything to Ms. Purvis? My premiums have doubled and I was one of the 5 million that were cancelled; soon to be closer to 100 million people. I guess that’s okay by Ms. Purvis as long as she gets her savings.

Appears Ms. Purvis has also bought the thought control police version of the Tea Party. The truth is we could level half of the government agencies and never miss a beat in the U.S. economy, and all of the citizens would be better off because of it.
The amount lost during the shutdown doesn’t begin to touch the fact that neither political party (except for the Tea Party) will address the elephant in the room. That is, unless meaningful, substantive cuts are made to the U.S. government soon, we will economically collapse. The numbers don’t lie, and it’s not a matter of if; it’s a manner of how soon.
These are facts, not flame-throwing rhetoric that her letter was filled with, including her amazing prophecy as to the future of the Tea Party. I’m not a member, but they are a heck of a lot more right than Ms. Purvis.
