Happy park

Here is one more chirp for the lighted park. I think the new lights added to Fountain Park are a wonderful addition. It increases the amount of time the park can be enjoyed by all. Not everyone is able to use the park during the day.

The lighted park provides a place to go and be outside after work and/or dinner. Now, the park can be enjoyed when the sun sets earlier in the year, as well as after the sun sets during the hot summer months. There are lots of areas in Fountain Hills, about 99 percent of the town, that are dark if you want to walk by moonlight.

I think that the lights add more than just a lighted way around the Fountain. New development along Avenue of the Fountains proposes residential and business development. It seems like lighting the park goes hand-in-hand with a downtown that will provide a place and the atmosphere for people to enjoy during the day and into the evening.

I see the lights as helping the businesses in town; more diners and shoppers will be drawn to the area in the evening because there is light.

Evening is a great time to enjoy one of the restaurants in town, move a little with an after-dinner walk, and maybe grab an ice cream cone for dessert.

Walking around the park when the sun goes down and the Fountain is high and beautifully lit is a truly wonderful sight.

Enjoy the area by the light of the silvery lights. Wow, more time to take pleasure in this beautiful town that we live in.
