Happiness

Many years ago, Benjamin Franklin wrote, “The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself.” As with so much of what Franklin said and wrote, this statement remains valid and inspiring today.

Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party exists to encourage people to learn about the Constitution and provide one way of pursuing a better understanding of this document and the principles that it established for our nation.

Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party exists to encourage people to learn about the Constitution and provide one way of pursuing a better understanding of this document and the principles that it established for our nation.

We are about freedom of assembly, freedom of expression, smaller government that listens to its citizens, lower taxes, fiscal responsibility and free market economics. We are about the right to pursue happiness and fostering the means for all to “catch it.”

Despite what you may hear from one side of the political spectrum, we are not racists, radicals or bigots. We are your neighbors, friends and co-workers.

This month, we welcome Mr. Tom Jenney, the director of Americans for Prosperity – Arizona, an organization dedicated to promoting the goals mentioned above. Tom will be discussing several timely issues up for debate and decision in the state legislature, such as Governor Brewer’s proposal to expand Medicaid in Arizona.

Please mark your calendar for Tuesday, March 19, and the next meeting of Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the FHUSD Learning Center. All are welcome to come, listen and participate.

Admission is free, but donations to offset expenses are gratefully accepted. Bring your ideas, bring a neighbor, bring a friend. For more information, please visit www.fhteaparty.org
