Grinding it out on Saguaro

Construction crews began grinding up the asphalt on Saguaro Boulevard near Fountain Hills Boulevard earlier this week.

Most of the millings are being recycled as base material for the new pavement, according to Development Services Director Paul Mood.

Nesbitt Contracting began work on the project at the north end at Fountain Hills Boulevard and is moving south. Currently the southbound lanes have been closed between Fountain Hills and La Montana Drive. All traffic is restricted to one lane in each direction in the northbound lanes.
