Good Samaritans

Fortunately my wife inveigled me into attending the beautiful patriotic Day of Prayer May 1 at Fountain Park.

The music and presenters were all excellent. Inspiring, especially the school children voicing the preamble to our Constitution and their beautiful singing. A very moving event!

Unfortunately I managed to trip and fall on the way to getting a hot dog and was rather badly scraped and bleeding profusely due to blood thinners. What a mess!

Unfortunately I managed to trip and fall on the way to getting a hot dog and was rather badly scraped and bleeding profusely due to blood thinners. What a mess!

Thankfully one of the team members saw me approaching and immediately went into action. He called for a doctor, helped clean the wound, found water and ice to apply, etc.

I do not remember his name but do recall the names of Brenda and Phyllis and Doctor Dave who each administered aid by locating a first aid kit and applying their skills and care to me.

So, I just want to say thanks to all for their concern and prayers. How appropriate! May God bless them, all the attendees, Fountain Hills and America. We should all return His favor.
