Golf team takes eighth at state

The high school golf team has finally wrapped up the 2014 season, finishing in eighth place overall in the Division III state tournament hosted out of Antelope Hills in Prescott on Friday and Saturday, May 16-17.

Competing in a field of 16 teams and a large number of players who qualified on an individual basis, the Falcons joined their fellow high school golfers for two rounds last weekend with the lowest combined score taking home the glory.

The Falcons combined for a day one total of 320 and a day two total of 347. All told, the local linksters ended their run at 667 points, good enough for eighth place overall.
